Children in the poor Balochi rural communities on the border between Iran and Pakistan have made handmade "masks" with palm leaves to prevent COVID19 infections.
Despite crisis connected with dismantling of the old social order, social hierarchy and ego boundaries disturbing, it should not be determined as a form of “cargo cult” but should be recognized as an adaptation practice in situation of critical lack of resources.
