After successful raid to military base of governmental army, al-Qaeda in East Africa group Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen (al-Shabaab), temporary took control of Dgalmo town in Lower Juba region Juba province, at the border of Somalia with Kenya.
Additionally it should be noted, that now in Somalia the heavy rains have led to increased river levels along the Juba river surpassing the high-risk thresholds for flooding; high river levels have consequently led to overflows, causing floods in low-lying areas along the rivers.
