Gang’s structure is flexible, and its functions are stable and dependent on local production distribution. Gangsters' visual representation and their behavior are completely different both from governmental security officers and from the militants/terrorists.
Deh Sabz Gang involved in extortion, land theft and "coal taxing" (extortion of coal transports through their territory under excuse of providing safety). This gang includes about 20 gunmen leaded by Gul Muhammad and Haji Zaman. They are headed by a former militia officer (brother of acting security officer Mahdi Rasikh) and operate also as the informal militia forces, under the banner of "public uprising forces".
