The protest actions against hospitals closing and medical personnel dismissal in several Russian cities were organized by independent trade-union “Doctor’s Alliance”. It is reported about the protest meetings with the slogan “we are want to live” organized by medics and patients in St-Petersburg, Perm, Sochi, Orenburg, Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Ekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Krasnodar, Volgograd, Saratov, Omsk, Kurgan, and Moscow. Local government tried to ban the actions; few activists were arrested by police.
